Création Africa: connecting talents, developing projects, creating together Création Africa is a digital platform accessible on both computer and mobile, funded by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and developed by the Institut français for MansA – Maison des Mondes Africains. It is aimed at professionals in the cultural and creative industries (CCI) in Africa and France, as well as operators from Team France and the French cultural network in Africa.
Designed from the outset with and for its users, over 100 professionals were consulted during its development, the platform places co-creation and horizontality at the heart of its functioning.
It is built on four key pillars:
- Co-design: a platform created with professionals.
- Accessibility: available everywhere online, it complements existing physical contact points, MansA in France and the French cultural network in Africa.
- Innovation: through artificial intelligence tools, the user experience is enhanced. An assistant helps draft profiles and, in time, will support project leaders in preparing their applications for various opportunities.
- Networking: a dynamic directory and tracking interface foster the emergence of long-term partnerships and increase the visibility of projects.
The platform aims to be a collegial, open, and inclusive space where everyone can access resources, propose initiatives, and directly connect with other stakeholders in the sector. To this end, it offers:
- A professional directory to highlight profiles and facilitate connections.
- A selection of calls for projects, training opportunities, resources, and events, in particular centralizing those from Team France.
- A dedicated space to submit initiatives, share projects, collaborations, and opportunities.
By bringing together talents, ideas, and opportunities in a single digital space, Création Africa supports the structuring of a vibrant and innovative community and contributes to strengthening cooperation between Africa and France in the service of creation.
