QUEEN RIMA (Guinee)

Queen Rima, the Guinean queen of dancehall and winner of the RFI 2025 Discovery Award, began as a dancer for renowned Guinean artists such as Singleton and Djelika Babintou then founded her own urban dance group, Toxaï Girl. Ten years ago, she made a bold breakthrough in the musical world, establishing herself in the traditionally male-dominated dancehall genre. She adapted and enriched it with traditional Guinean sounds, creating a unique style.

SUPERJAZZCLUB (Ghana)

SuperJazzClub is a Ghanaian creative collective consisting of artists/producers/film makers and DJs : BiQo, Øbed, Seyyoh, Tano Jackson, Joeyturks, & Ansah Live. Formed in 2018 in Accra, the members who were then friends came together to express themselves creatively and share ideas as SuperJazzClub. With similar creative interests, the collective sought to exploit their varying creative backgrounds to build a unit that was cohesive in thinking yet diverse in style.

THE CAVEMEN (Nigeria)

With their invention of ‘Highlife Fusion’ which combines Highlife, Afrobeat, Jazz, and Soul music, the Cavemen are pioneering the renaissance of highlife music and making it relevant to a contemporary generation that is hungry to connect to their roots. Since 2018, the Lagos-based sibling duo, composed of Kingsley Chukwudi Okorie and Benjamin Chukwudi James, have multiplied their cult following with experimental nostalgic records and electric live performances that have carried on a reputation of their own.

ODUMODUBLVCK (Nigeria)

Born in Lagos and raised in Abuja, ODUMODUBLVCK has been one of the most exciting voices out of the country in the last decade! He operates under a self-defined genre he calls Okporoko Rhythms: a form of Hip-Hop that takes influences from Grime, Fela Kuti’s Afrobeat, and Progressive R&B. This musical core informs his deep, thoughtful lyricism which takes centrestage on every track and stage he graces.
